Will a TEFL certificate help me teach in my home country? - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL & TESOL
Obtaining a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) certificate can be a valuable asset for aspiring teachers looking to teach English not only abroad but also in their home country. While the primary focus of TEFL is to prepare individuals to teach English to non-native speakers in foreign countries, the skills and knowledge gained from a TEFL certification can also be applied effectively in domestic teaching settings.
A TEFL certificate provides a comprehensive understanding of English language teaching methodologies, classroom management techniques, lesson planning skills, and assessment strategies. These competencies are transferable and can be utilized in various teaching environments, including language schools, community centers, online platforms, and private tutoring sessions.... Do TEFL certificates qualify me to teach English to non-native speakers in my home country? - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT TEFL & TESOL
To teach English to non-native speakers in your home country, having a TEFL (Teach English as a Foreign Language) certificate can be highly beneficial. While requirements vary from country to country and even within institutions, a TEFL certificate is often a preferred qualification for teaching English. It demonstrates that you have received training in teaching English to speakers of other languages, making you a more competitive candidate in the job market.
In many cases, having a TEFL certificate is not a strict requirement, especially if you are a native English speaker or have a degree in English or Education. However, even in such cases, having a TEFL certificate can still enhance your chances of getting hired and may lead to better job opportunities and higher pay. Additionally,... [Read more]
What It’s Like Teaching Kindergarten in Thailand - My Personal Story - TEFL Blog

Alumni Experiences Teaching Ideas
Having spent more than 20 years as a marketing consultant, I decided to change career, to become an English language teacher. Hence, I took up the 120-hour TEFL course with ITTT, along with a specialised course in teaching young learners and another one in teaching business English. Even before I finished my TEFL course, I was offered a teaching job with a private school in Bangkok, Thailand. I have since been teaching kindergarten kids for about 8 months.

That was back in the day. Since those days I have done more than 50 different "educational" courses. One could say I have some experience in the area of courses.

During my university days, I would take up different kinds of part-time jobs for two simple reasons; to make use of my skills and hobbies and earn some cash from it. These hobbies included babysitting, arts & crafts and more.

I chose to take a TEFL course to make me more professional. I am an English teacher and I teach young kids from the age of 4 to 12 in China. I have been teaching kids for around 7 years. I was teaching kids from Grade 1 to Grade 5 in a public primary school in China. Now I teach young kids in a language training center. Teaching in a Chinese public school is totally different to teaching in a private training center. In a public school, what the teacher does everyday is giving the questionnaire to the students and have them complete as many questionnaires as possible. The goal is for students to remember the grammar rules and know how to give correct answers so that they can do well in their tests. So in a public school all the exercises we do are for one... My teaching experience began in a whirlwind. I graduated from college a semester ahead of my class, married, lived with my husband in my sister's basement for two months, and moved to South Korea. We had no idea what to expect. Sure, we'd read the blogs, talked to the director of our school, and even talked with people we know who had lived and taught in Korea. It still didn't fully prepare us for what to expect, how amazing it would be, and how hard. We lived in South Korea for 19 months teaching three through seven year olds daily and first through third graders several times each week.

These courses have similar approaches to teaching techniques and methods, they are well structured and provide much useful information on teaching resources, teaching theories as well as practical tasks. Three Strategies For Teachers to Work on Confidence - TEFL Blog

One of the most important traits a teacher can bring into the classroom is confidence. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary Confidence is "a feeling or consciousness of one's powers or reliance on one's circumstances" and " faith or belief that one will act in a right, the proper, or efficient way". When a teacher is confident in the classroom it will help create a more relaxed and trusting environment.

How Seating Arrangement Influences Learning - TEFL Blog

From both my experiences as well as what I have learned from this course, I believe seating arrangement in the classroom is very important. I remember always remember one teacher in college because her class stuck out from all of the others. In her greek history class, we were forced to place our desks into the form of a circle a vast majority of the time. She warned us from the first day of her class that this would be a class far different from the normal teaching style. She told us that this style would help ensure we stay engaged, listen to others as well as her and would help to keep us accountable for our previous reading assignments.
