What is a Teacher and What is Their Responsibility in the Classroom?
The role of the teacher is to guide the student to success. They are the main source of motivation, knowledge of the subject, and plays a key role in the possible atmosphere of the classroom. The vitality of the role cannot be understated because it is the difference between helping the student reach their full potential or failure to learn the subject matter. From the beginning, the teacher must let the students know that they care and all questions are welcomed so that it becomes an open space to create opportunities to learn.

What Is Missing In School English Lessons?
The English language is complex, but it becomes even more so when we consider the differences informality. In most classrooms for second language learners, the 'formal' version of English is taught. This is important so that students learn the grammar and vocabulary necessary for proper speaking and writing skills. However, the use of 'informal' language with slang and idioms is just as common in everyday life and can vary depending on the region. Both offer unique benefits to the learner, but only the formal style is generally taught in class.

Motivation in Class as it is
According to the Cambridge dictionary, motivation is the need or reason for doing something. Motivation is a way to get somebody to complete something that they might not aspire to execute on his or her own. Teachers have been using different forms of motivation in the classroom for years, which has been positive and negative. My parents used to tell me stories about their school time when the teachers would smack their hands with rulers if they didn't do their homework. They would also use the same rulers to smack the students' buttocks when they were misbehaving. When I was in school our motivation to perform satisfactorily in the class was to get decent grades.

Is Punishment Still Reasonable in Class?
Teaching as a general concept is a word derived from "to teach" which means to instruct, it means a process in which one individual makes something known to another individual, it is a system of actions intended to produce learning. As Morrison said, "teaching is intimate contact between a more mature personality and less mature one which is designed to further education of the later".

Is Grammar Still Important in Spoken English?
According to the Collins online dictionary, grammar is defined as "the ways that words can be put together in order to make sentences." The Oxford learner's dictionary defines grammar as "a person's knowledge and use of a language". If those two definitions were to be combined we could define grammar as the way we utilize the language knowledge we possess for the purpose of communication. In keeping with this definition then, it can be said that in order to communicate effectively, grammar is essential.

Praise in the Classroom: Is it Normal?
Praises are like honey when you are on the receiving end you feel "sweet" or great about yourself. Imagine how your students feel when they are being praised for a job well done. They feel the same way too. According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, praise is defined as, "expressing admiration or approval of achievements of a person." Praise works hand in hand with motivation. If you praise your students when they try to make an effort or when they do extremely well, it will go a far way in boosting their self-confidence and motivate them to want to learn. In doing so, this will help to increase their participation in class, which in turn would be a recipe for success.

Why Music is Crucial in a Classroom
Music is something that nearly everyone in the world enjoys. Music is a universal language. No matter what language you may speak, music is in every corner of the world and every culture. It is one of the many things that can unite people of all places and backgrounds. Because of this, I think music is essential in an English classroom. Especially in a multilingual or multicultural classroom, the students can relate to one another not only through their English knowledge but also through the fact that they like listening to music. If a song is in English, the students might not understand it. However, students can still enjoy a catchy melody or even just the instrumentals behind it while still... [Read more]
