Is Teaching English Online Convenient?
Teaching English online is a huge growing market in today’s globalized society. According to the British Council, there are over a billion people who are learning English (750 million English as a foreign language learners and 350 million English as a second language learner). The difference between EFL and ESL learners is that EFL learners live in a country where the language of the community is not English and English is used by a learner in rare instances such as for business or pleasure; while ESL learners live where English is either a primary language or has an established role in the society and the language is used daily.

Methods of Teaching Adult Students Online
There is no doubt that the development of new technologies has a great effect on people's jobs and the ways they manage their work. It is also the case when it comes to teaching. At this step, one should understand that teaching English to kids and teens, especially in groups, might require a teacher's full presence and in-class participation. However, teaching adults is something that steps away from the methods used with children. In this work, several ways of tackling this issue will be suggested.

The Problems of Teaching English Online
At its core, teaching students online offers positive and negative consequences. Children are often at home when they take these classes. It means that they do not have to travel to a specific location to learn English. They can learn in an environment that is already comfortable for them, perhaps mitigating some of the anxieties they might feel. While its convenience is the main appeal for most people, it offers challenges that can detract from a student’s potential to learn and fully understand the English language. It is important that when a teacher decides to begin teaching online classes, he or she be aware of these problems as well as ways to combat them to ensure that the... [Read more]

Choosing an Online English Teaching Platform
There is no one way to teach English online, there are programs where the teacher doesn’t have to do much aside from showing up given that the lessons are pre-planned like with Qkids and VIPKid, which I’ll call company-centered programs because the company sets the curriculum. While other programs, such italki, and Palfish, rely on teacher-created lesson plans, which may be more stressful for the teacher, but ultimately are a great boon for the students they teach as the lessons can be tailored to each student, I’ll refer to them as teacher-centered programs because of that. Each has its merits and I will discuss some of them here for you now.

4 Essential Tools For Teaching ESL Online
Do you dream of using your TEFL certification to teach online? Online teaching is booming, and it’s an amazing opportunity, but working for an online teaching company also has its pitfalls: it’s hard to tell which companies are legit, wage information can be scarce, and you can be treated like a number rather than a person. The internet is unfortunately full of online teachers’ horror stories of being treated like replaceable commodities. To make matters even more confusing, social media is crawling with recruiters and teachers posting referral links to work at their companies. It’s hard to know who to trust!
