Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 3 covers strategies for teaching a language. It shows the pros and cons of several strategies. Some of these strategies compliment each other well. The Engage, Study, Activate format can help you structure a lesson. It is also known as ESA. The parts of the lesson can be rearranged in several ways to meet the needs of your learners. This unit has analogues to some other teaching methods. It is very clearly structured again. It is also easy to understand and has given me a much deeper understanding on how to teach more effectively by relating the content to my own teaching experiences. The resources of the games is also of a great help to a teacher like me. More lesson examples including patchwork and boomerang ESA lessons with higher level learning objectives will be better !
