Gormanston Park School of English, County Meath are currently recruiting experienced, hard-working and motivated professional TEFL teachers to join our dynamic and supportive team from June 2022 for our residential junior summer programme.
Start dates from June 2022 and we have a selection of 2-, 4- and 6-week contracts available
We welcome applicants from all education sectors to apply but unfortunately, we are not able to provide work permit assistance for this role. Therefore, we are only able to consider candidates that are eligible to work in Ireland.
Applicants (other than UK nationals) must have permission to work in the EU or hold a valid work permit for employment in the EU.
UK nationals do not need a visa or residency permit to live or work in Ireland.
Interviews can be carried out either on site or via Zoom if the candidate is unable to attend in person at this moment in time.
Job Summary
The general responsibilities and duties include the following:
- Delivering approximately 16 hours of engaging English lessons per week
- Improving the communicative competence of our young learners
- Supplementing, when necessary, a prepared syllabus
- Preparing and marking homework when necessary
- Completing attendance and class record sheets daily
- Input on final reports when required
- Work well under direction, always behave professionally and work enthusiastically as part of our team
Qualifications
Possess a native speaker level of competence
Have a TEFL certificate
1 years' experience with a proven ability to teach ESL to young learners an advantage but not essential. A positive attitude and a dynamic student-centred approach to teaching are the most important requirements for us.
Salary and Benefits
20 euro per teaching hour
Accommodation and meals on site can be provided
