How Games Can Boost Your Lessons - TEFL Blog

Teaching Ideas
One of the repeating themes of this TEFL course has been the games a classroom may participate in, and the many variants of games appropriate for the learning of English. Examples are hangman, crossword puzzles, word jumbles, 20 questions, and many more to mention. The games can often serve very specific purposes, which were perhaps not the original intentions for the games, however within the classroom they can perfectly fit into their role. Tongue-twisters are an excellent choice when practising pronunciations on students in the fluency stage of the lesson, as it allows them to make mistakes without the fear of embarrassment from failure (as failure is almost certain for everybody, at least once), and forces them to apply the words quickly without much... Tefl reviews - Overview Of All English Tenses Present Tenses Present Simple Negatives And Questions - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ITTT
For statements in the negative form, what we have to do is add the auxiliary verb 'to do'. For subjects 'I', 'you', 'we' and 'they', we simply leave 'do' as 'do', use the word 'not', and keep the base form of the verb now for the negative statements. However, for 'he', 'she' and 'it', we have to conjugate our auxiliary verb into 'does'. We still use 'not' and we still keep the base form of the verb. The pattern performing questions is very very similar to the pattern performing negative statements. However, what we've done is invert our subject and our auxiliary verb so that the questions read the auxiliary verb first. Of course, again, we use 'do' for 'I', 'you', 'we' and 'they' and use 'does' for 'he', 'she' and 'it'. In both cases, we've left our verb form as the base form of... [Read more]

Every student is unique and uses different learning strategies. One of the reasons is the variety of intelligences. Although group lessons are enjoyable, one-to-one lessons are satisfying for teachers and students alike, offering unique advantages in language education.
In the realm of language education, the choice between one-to-one and group teaching settings carries significant implications for both educators and learners. Group classes, while fostering social interaction and diverse perspectives, often present challenges due to varying language levels among students. This diversity complicates the task of planning and delivering lessons that effectively cater to the majority.
