Hara Gakuen is seeking a full-time TEFL qualified English teacher. Hara Gakuen comprises two kindergartens: Hikari Kindergarten and Hikarinokuni Kindergarten, which are both located in Tomakomai, Hokkaido. The majority of the students are very young children, between the ages of two and six. They are cute and fun-loving, as well as very eager to learn English. The teacher will also be responsible for afternoon classes with older students; therefore we need a teacher who is comfortable with all age levels.

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic person who will not only teach English but also join our students for field trips, Sports Days, Christmas Concerts and other fun activities throughout the year. The position starts on Sept. 1, 2011 and lasts for one year; the contract is renewable by mutual consent. Our teacher must be prepared to come to Tomakomai two weeks in advance of that for training. Duties will be carried out Monday to Friday, with morning work on 1-2 Saturdays a month. Weekend work for special events will be compensated with an additional day off.

We understand teachers are concerned about recent events in Japan and can assure you that Tomakomai has not been affected by the March 11 earthquake or its aftermath. Life in our town continues as normal. We are located over 500km from Fukushima and its nuclear facilities, which is well outside all advised danger zones. There have been no records of abnormal levels of radiation anywhere on Hokkaido.

For the right teacher, we offer the following package:
-210,000yen-220, 000yen monthly salary
-Teaching license and /or teaching experience is preferred
