How to Teach English Grammar Communicatively
In today's emphasis on quality education and the development of communicative competence in English, "English grammar "seems to be a big taboo when talking about English teaching. Most English teachers feel comfortable teaching a conversation lesson or a lesson that integrates other skills such as listening, reading, or writing. They show creativity in those lessons and include various ideas to help students improve their language skills. how ever this, however, more difficult when teaching a grammar topic.

What should I teach English beginners? - ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ TEFL FAQs
What should I teach English beginners?
When teaching English to absolute beginners, it is pivotal to start with foundational elements. Begin with essential vocabulary - items like family names, household objects, basic adjectives, and common places. Introduce them to subject pronouns, commonly used verbs, and foundational sentence structures. While the challenge is real, many English teachers find this level especially rewarding. Remember, every word they grasp is a significant achievement, so using engaging and interactive methods can make the learning process enjoyable and effective.

Useful Teaching Ideas for EFL Kindergartens in China
Working as an English teacher in the kindergarten is very entertaining and challenging, as the teacher will deal with the children who don't have even a basic knowledge of English, have the very short attention span and very different in terms of their behavior. Before I moved to China, I haven't prior experience in teaching the kindergarten level students, because I always thought that teaching the young learners would be annoying, hard to discipline and far too energy-consuming. So what I had learned was just through my own experience.

If you have never taught English to complete novices before, the prospect of spending an entire lesson speaking with students who don't comprehend a single word you say may seem frightening. Teaching absolute beginners differs from teaching other courses, as any ESL teacher will tell you. It can be difficult, but it may also be one of the most enjoyable and gratifying language levels to teach. Every new word your students learn is important at this level, and the greatest approach to teaching it is to be as creative and funny as possible.

In teaching kindergarten level students, I find that three important aspects must be included in every lesson. Each lesson must contain parts that allow the students to "warm-up" their English skills, they must also have a chance to drill the vocabulary and target language, and lastly, the classes must have activities that give the students a chance to practice using their vocabulary and target language in a relatable activity.

How to Approach Lesson Planning to Develop Independent Problem Solving
Abstraction is in essence, the formation of broader, and more difficult and subjective systems from inputs. It is a concept that can be applied to the four language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. As an idea becomes more abstract and subjective, it requires more information and becomes more difficult to answer. Some of the easiest and least abstract pieces of language are simple Yes/No statements and questions. "Do you like ice-cream?" "Yes, I do." "No, I don't." A more difficult question might be, "Who likes ice-cream?" More difficult still would be, "Why do you like ice-cream?" A simple, but by no means an exhaustive list of abstraction moving... How much should I charge for private English lessons?
Setting rates for private English tutoring should reflect your teaching experience and qualifications. Beginners in the field typically start with rates from $15 to $20 per hour. Experienced educators with a solid track record and additional credentials, like a TEFL certificate or specialized training, can sometimes charge up to $50 per hour. Many TEFL teachers complement their main teaching roles with private lessons and may eventually move to full-time tutoring. When establishing your fees, consider factors like your experience, the local demand for English lessons, the cost of living in your area, and what the market can bear to ensure competitive yet fair pricing.

Seeing things in a new light: What TEFL brings to your future self?
I moved to Argentina almost 2 years ago now, and, surprisingly to most of my family and friends, I started teaching Catalan in a language school. I say "surprisingly" because they have made fun of my Catalan accent since I can remember, as it is more of a mix of accents put into one. Fun fact: you can't really tell from which part of Catalonia I am only from listening to me. Although I try my best to speak "standard Catalan" when I teach, my accent does slip away sometimes, which makes it quite interesting. The sentence "all's well that ends well" comes to mind in this situation. I ended up turning this into an opportunity to... [Read more]

While it is true that the vast majority of newly qualified EFL teachers start out by working in a mainstream job, either online or in a traditional classroom abroad, there are other options out there for those who are looking for something a little different. Some of these options require a certain level of experience, while others are open to anyone regardless of their work history.
