General English Course Books for Young Learners
General English course books for young learners differ from those for adults in a number of ways. Obviously the types of topics will be geared towards the interests of younger people but there are also differences in the way the language is presented. Grammar chants are a popular method of drilling grammar points in books for young learners and while course books for adults will generally have sections with explicit presentations of a grammar point, books for young learners do not usually cover grammar in such detail, especially those for very young learners.

Setting Up an English Course in Vietnam - a Graduate’s Story
I worked as an Emirates Airlines flight attendant for over 6 years. In order to be accepted you need to pass multiple group exercises, a written exam and a two person interview. There are always over a thousand applicants but they only accept a very small number. Two years ago I left the company and moved to Vietnam where I noticed a great interest in younger people wanting to become flight attendants, but many were fearful of the Open Day, a two day process of interviews and exercises because they were not sure if their level of English was good enough. It didn't take long for me and two friends, who had also worked for the same airline, to decide to put together an 8 day... [Read more]

Why Joining a Course on Teaching Business English is Valuable
Undoubtedly, English is a global language; it is used in international negotiations, used in foreign-affiliated companies, used to write academic papers, used to set up homepages, and used to perform commands while playing games. The ability to command this global language seems to be convenient and fair because we can make many things possible, including traveling around the world and gathering various kinds of information.

I have gotten both a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a master's degree in Teaching English as a second language (it was called that time). But I have not used my teaching degree for the years that I have lived in the US. What is a Good English Course Structure for Elementary School Students?
There are many course structures available now for teaching English. However, there are problems there to be solved. Problems are like some students find memorizing words and grammar all the time are boring; some find learning English itself is meaningless; some find they can't talk and use it after learning all grammar from grammar practice books; some students are so nervous to talk that they kill the "communication and thinking tool" in its cradle; some even hate it after several tries of learning. However, English's not to blame for the problems. Neither the things described by English nor grammar is. Resources are littered casually within the mind, they... [Read more]
