Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered the material available for use in the classroom; authentic and non-authentic materials. Authentic materials are those that have been produced for a real purpose and not the classroom (poetry, tv clips, books, etc). Non-authentic materials are materials that have either been produced, either by and education company or by the teacher for the specific purpose of being a teaching aid. This unit tells how a teacher behavior is important in the classroom for the success of the lesson and also for the students to comfortably participate.Smiling and knowing the names of the students are also an important factor that makes the student to eagerly participate in the lesson. To have a positive and engaging attitude towards the students is important , lastly the use of gestures and mimes.
