Date posted:2014-04-02 | Writer: English in Margate | Email: info@mlcengland.com

We are a friendly English language school for adults situated in the popular seaside town of Margate in Kent, south-east England and currently have a vacancy for a qualified EFL teacher who is available for 3 months starting in June 2014. Situated in the surrounding area of a park in the city centre, the school is housed in a beautiful 19th century building. Close to the train station, it is also only a few minutes' walk away from the town centre and the beach. Most of the modern and comfortable classrooms are equipped with PCs and projector facilities. A multimedia centre, a language lab and a library complete the facilities made available in order that you may study in the best conditions. We are an adult-only school and we offer General English Courses as well as exam preparation courses (FCE, CAE and IELTS) and ESP courses. The school is accredited by British Council, English UK and IALC.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Speaking and writing are different in many ways but equally important when communicating. Many of us are fluent in speaking our first language whereas writing comes with many difficulties. Teacher needs to motivate students with activities eg. games creating interaction with fellow students. Incorporating the ESA lessons is a great way of introducing these two productive skills in the classroom. This unit provides a rather comprehensive analysis of the many types and uses of teaching aids/equipment. The unit covers the pros and cons of many of the teaching aids and highlight when they can and should be used during an ESA-style lesson. Finally, the unit PDF provides numerous helpful links to online materials such as dictionaries, language resources, and compendia of teaching exercises.
