Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Productive skills are as important as receptive skills, it is really important for teachers to create and encourage their students to communicate more often, whether in class or not.Teachers should play games and use lots of communicative activities to prompt more vocabulary for and from their students.Creating an environment where language is fun and easy brings and draws a lot of attention and motivation. This unit was very helpful in creating a deeper understanding of the specific skills that are necessary for learning a new language. The unit focused on the receptive skills of language learning, which are reading and listening, and the best ways to teach these skills. The unit also stressed the fact that these skills, as well as productive skills, are all equally important to gaining fluency in a language.
