Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit two presented the basic rules and construction of English grammar. Though native speakers often instinctively understand these rules, most do not know the rules. Having a strong foundation in the \"why\" we use this word, phrase, form, etc. when teaching a student learning the language is critical because they need a latticework of how the language works in order to comprehend, learn and improve. This unit has given me a general understanding of the basics of English grammar. I have learned the different parts of speech that come together to make up a sentence. For the basics, I have learned that a sentence must consist of a subject and a verb, but will usually feature more words. I now feel that I am able to properly identify different parts of speech and explain the differences between them.
