Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 9: Video Lessons This unit showed two videos of the same class, the same teacher, the same material, and very different lesson plan and style of teaching. It was really helpful for me to see the positive example (second lesson) of a lesson and to see the ESA teaching style in real time. It was interesting to me that the term model auxiliary verb was not even presented in the second lesson. In this unit, I learned the difference between a lesson that goes poorly and a lesson that is more successful. For instance, in video one, the teacher said \"this is very easy\" which made the students less likely to participate for fear of looking dumb. In video two, the teacher used clear examples and spoke slower and clearer to help the students understand and feel confident in participating.
