Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This lesson builds on lesson four's material of present tenses but with a focus on past events simple, continuos and perfect. In this lesson I learned about regular and irregular verb forms as well as examples for each of the forms of past tenses. While tenses can be a confusing and daunting prospect for prospective learners I fell this lesson has broadened my ability to effectively teach this method and lesson to English learners. This unit deals with managing the class. It gives several ideas, advices about what the teacher should do, examples, etc. The unit is divided into several parts, for example eye contact, gesture and use of voice; how to group students; how to arrange classroom sitting; writing on the board; giving individual attention; teacher talking time and student talking time; giving instructions; establish rapport; and maintaining discipline.
