ELES Centers, Muscat, have been contracted to provide English courses for Ministry of Education teachers and staff in various regions in Oman. Teaching Omani adult professionals is probably the best TEFL classroom experience you can have here - like minded, motivated, friendly and engaging students who are serious about their opportunities.

Teachers will be placed in one of several regions for the program and may also stay in Muscat for other contracts. Packages are competitive and include allowances for regional placement or travel. 20-25 hours per week of contact hours, overtime hours also possible. Otherwise, standard benefits package with annual flight, medical and gratuity as per labor law regulations.

We require experienced and culturally aware native English speaking teachers to deliver the program to students. Engaging and skilled, you will strive to create a positive and progressive classroom experience and well organized and comprehensive assessment and administrative feedback.

Send documents ( cv, degree, certificates, work experience letters) to the email address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Although vocabulary makes the english diction very beautiful it is the underlying grammar that the language is built upon. It is important to have a strong understanding of grammar. There are many ways to teach the students from patchwork to boomerang. Always try to engage, study, and activate. It is key to know the pronunciation, use, meaning, and spelling of the words you teach your students. In my opinion, without receptive skills it will be very difficult for a student to gain proficiency in a language. While not necessarily as obvious as productive skills like speaking and writing, reading and listening form the basis for learning a language and help students feel confident in learning, and therefore more likely to continue their studies and gain a better mastery of the language.
