Vacancies in Northern Italy For EFL Teachers

Date posted:2017-02-15 | Writer: International Club | Email: [email protected]

International Club based in Giussano, 25 Km north of Milan, is seeking TEFL qualified teachers for 2017 and 2018. We are a language school, with students from Kindergarten to adults. We teach English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic and Italian as a foreign language. Our school is dedicated to encouraging each individual to achieve their best in language proficiency. Quite a large number of our students take international exams (Cambridge, Trinity, IELTS, TOEFL)

Schools are located in different areas of Brianza, a lively green area between Lake Como and Milan. Hence the job involves some driving from one school to the other. However, a school car is available for our teachers to use, so there’s no need to rely on public transport.

Living conditions for foreign teachers in our area are very comfortable and we find that foreign teachers enjoy living here. The town has 26 thousand inhabitants but has the feeling of a small town. There are lots of associations which cater for all possible interests. There are sports centers, an indoor and outdoor  swimming pool with slides and sun bathing area, a park with a small lake and fitness trek, a library, a shopping centre, many restaurants, bars and clubs.  Lake Como and the mountains are really close and down town Milan can be reached in about 30 minutes by train. Driving to downtown Milan  off rush hours takes about the same time. From Milan you can travel to Rome in 3 hours and to Naples in 5 hours by train. So the whole of Italy is pretty close by from our area.

We are currently recruiting for 2 full-time positions. Most of the work will be with young learners in kindergarten, primary school and lower secondary school, but also with adults.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit we discussed the different methods and techniques that one can use in order to most effectively teach a new language. Some examples of different methodology included engage, study, and activate, a straight arrow ESA lesson, or a boomerang ESA lesson, just to name a few. Each different technique should be based on the personality, culture, and needs of the individual student.Just as in Unit 4 on Past Tenses, this unit gave more insight into the regular and irregular verbs and the 4 part of the past tenses. Most native speakers seems to be familiar with the regular and irregular verbs because they learn them quite easily from usage. I have therefore learn that the four part of the past tenses are past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past continuous.
