Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

For me, the lesson is to keep positive and doing the right things so that challenging issues are less likely to arise. The notes provide excellent guidance on how to build rapport and to reduce TTT whilst still influencing and modelling. The issues of discipline are effectively and positively addressed recognising that keeping 'control' is a key component of maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.Like the last unit I was able to recognize methods and ideas that were used in my own language learning classes. What I believe will be a difficult part of teaching in the future, especially in the beginning, is finding the balance between speaking and writing, both of which are important. Part of this being a problem is that some student may find writing activities to be boring, and will therefore not engage.
