EFL Sample Lesson - Study Phase - Short Answers

This video is a sample EFL lesson in a real-life classroom setting abroad. After covering how to build questions with modals, the teacher elicits the form for short answers from his students. Notice how the teacher elicits information from his students rather than feeding them the new information. This way, the students think in English and also speak to the teacher in English.

This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

the teaching method overview part was very was very beneficial, i'm looking forward to learning so many things about the different methodology of teaching BE and this unit gave me a insightful overview on that topic, it also was very beneficial to learn about how to adapt your teaching ways to the students of different level classes, one to one classes ad the groups classesThis unit made me think more deeply about how to structure lessons based on the type of language goal we are working on. For example, a straight-arrow lesson is more appropriate for a vocabulary lesson, while a boomerang or patchwork lesson is better for a language function lesson. I also had to think deeply about what kind of lesson plans I would make it my own situation.
