Two Cases on Effective Student Motivation
A gifted American educator has said, 'motivation is the key to turn hopeless, hostile students into eager and ambitious achievers. It is useless to teach when students are not motivated. One can only have the information processed and digested in a stand of filtered out when their mind is open when they believe in themselves that they can do it. And if the ways of motivation are rightly chosen, if it's carried out by a driving, dedicated and patient teacher, gradually, and often quite swiftly, the gap in-betweens will be filled, and the learning begins.

Classroom Disaster: How to Save Your Face
Losing one's temper in front of students is one of the most problematic scenes in classrooms. I remember being a new teacher in a class filled with twenty-six first graders, nothing ever prepared me for that moment, when they all needed to use the washroom or help to open their lunch boxes. The frustration I faced daily, along with little to no coping strategies were ultimately the key elements that helped me decide to never work with very young learners. There are many reasons why teachers lose their temper in classroom settings, but the good news is there are many ways we can regain control and recreate positive learning environments, as we will discuss in this essay.

How to Control Yourself in Front of Students with Challenging Behavior
Today I would like to summative the topic " How to control yourself in front of students with challenging behaviors?" I choose this topic because, in my opinion, this can be one of the most critical things which can happen in the classroom and the short- and long term damage can be irreparable and you can easily have lost the respect and joy of the students to participate in your class. It can also cause a career-damaging impact in your life and you may also lose the joy at teaching if you are not prepared for this situation.

Daniel is from the United States and completed his TEFL in-class course in Prague, the Czech Republic. He enjoyed the intensive training and had a great time working with the teacher trainers. He was able to approach anyone in case he had questions before and during the course. The most challenging part of the course for him was lesson planning and how to keep a lesson interesting. Now, he is able to create interactive and fun lessons for a wide variety of students. He is confident that he can now teach overseas as a professional English teacher.

How can I make extra cash when teaching English abroad?
While teaching English abroad can be rewarding, there may be instances when educators wish to supplement their income. One widely embraced strategy is offering private English lessons as there is a substantial market for one-on-one tutoring in most countries. Often, individual students or parents are willing to pay significant amounts, sometimes ranging from $20 to $40 per hour, for these personalized sessions. Leveraging such side gigs can significantly bolster earnings and enhance the overall teaching experience abroad.

ITTT's Certificate Legalization and Authentication Options
ITTT offers a full range of certificate legalization and authentication options. Some course graduates are informed that their certificate should be authenticated, legalized, apostilled or validated. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a consistent or clear definition of exactly what is required here, so we suggest several options. You should present these options to the people or authorities that are requesting the certificate additions, so they can advise you which one would be acceptable to them.

Contractions in Written English
Contractions are commonly used in written and spoken English to shorten a group of words by omitting certain letters or sounds. In most cases, a contraction uses an apostrophe to represent the missing letters.
The list of contractions above represents some of the most common examples used in written English. Using contractions is also very common in spoken English; however, native speakers don’t always take the time to pronounce them precisely. Because of this, English learners can easily fall into the trap of writing contractions incorrectly.
When speaking, we might pronounce could’ve, should’ve, and would’ve in such a way that they actually sound like “could of,”... [Read more]

How Teachers Can Handle Students With Challenging Behavior
Managing a class is a huge topic to talk about: in a nutshell, it 's focused on the teacher's duty to organize a classroom properly, maintaining discipline and setting the tone. The teacher must be able to inspire confidence, shaping a relaxing atmosphere among students, irrespective of his/her teaching style and personality; furthermore, an essential point implies the teacher's capability to pay attention to the variations of activities and situations and be able to modify his/her role according to that. In other words, being a good teacher requires a high awareness about the role to "play" (when being an assessor, prompter, facilitator, tutor, participant, observer, model,... [Read more]

Challenges Faced by English Learners in Russia
The ability to speak more than one language broadens a person's worldview, from job opportunities to the ability to relate with people from different cultures. It is no secret that learning English as a foreign language has become popular across many non-English speaking countries and Russia is no different. The English language has slowly been incorporated into the Russian educational system and many English language learning centers have been established all over the country. As much as most Russians are motivated enough to learn English, it is not as easy as one would hope due to dissimilarities between the two language systems especially the lettering systems, cases,...
