Hai Phong is a pretty port city about 100km S.E. of Hanoi. It is often described as an industrial city, there is heavy industry but it isn't apparent in the city proper. In fact it is a very picturesque city. It is much quieter than Hanoi and only has a very small ex-pat community. Hai Phong is a very inexpensive place to live which makes saving very easy. Hai Phong is in a good location for day trips or overnight trips to Hanoi, Do San, Cat Ba and other beauty spots.

Once offered a position candidates currently living abroad will be sent a copy of the contract and a letter of appointment. Candidates need to apply for a business visa from the Vietnamese embassy in their home country prior to departure, for which teachers are reimbursed. All further visas are organised and paid for by the school.

Apply with CV (Resume) and letter of application to; The Academic Manager, [email protected].

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CV, please don't send any other documents. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview by yahoo messenger and phone interview, local candidates will be asked to attend interview in Hanoi or Hai Phong. Those shortlisted will be asked to send certificates and information page from their passport prior to interview.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 16 covers conditionals and reported speech. I learned the varying usages of conditionals such as the zero, the first through third, and the mixed. The lesson covers the form and usage of said conditionals as well as typical mistakes and errors that students are likely to make. The lesson also gives several different teaching ideas on this. Lesson 16 also talks about reported and direct speech and how it fits into a sentence.I have learnt how to manage a class correctly, and the importance of teacher talking time as well as student talking time. I also have learnt how to deal with problem behaviour students, and to focus on the behaviour not the student. I find this a good solution so in the future the student doesn't think you were picking on the individual rather just trying to fix the solution, overall a pretty common-sense / straight forward unit.
