Delfin English School is now recruiting EFL teachers to join the team at our new central London school. We are located in central London, Zone 1 in beautiful Bloomsbury Square, based in a lovely Georgian building with 14 large, bright and modern classes. Delfin is different – we believe in providing our students with excellent value for money, and in giving them the best possible classes, atmosphere in the school, and social programme. We therefore require teachers who are passionate about teaching and excited about working in a truly international environment. Although you will ideally have at least two years’ teaching experience, your attitude and enthusiasm is more important to us than how many years of experience you have.

Our students come to the school for anything from a couple of weeks to a full year, and study General English, often with an extra Conversation or Exam Preparation class. You will be teaching between 20-25 hours spread over 5 days a week. The school is an exciting place to work with a great team and happy students. We offer opportunities for staff to develop their teaching skills and experience, with a thorough CPD programme and regular teacher development sessions.

At Delfin English School London, we work hard to create a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere and good relationships between staff and students. As part of this, we encourage all teachers to get involved in our social programme in addition to their teaching duties. This can involve anything from Friday evening trips to the pub and parties to museum visits and trips to some of London’s famous markets.

Qualifications

Applicants must have either TESOL or the Cambridge CELTA. Although some experience is an advantage, newly-qualified teachers will be considered. Delfin is committed to providing continuous professional development programs for its academic staff. All teachers are required to complete a CRB check.

Compensation

Delfin London offers competitive salaries, starting at a minimum of £13ph and increasing depending on qualifications and experience. Contact us at the e-mail address given on the job heading for more information and to apply.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this section, future verb conjugations are charted out with examples. Each tense has specific purposes and this chapter lists these guidelines for each conjugation. I learned there are multiple future tenses, each with different meaning even though many of them sound very similar. I have a feeling this will be the most difficult of the past, present, future verbs for ESL learners to comprehend. In this unit I learned about teaching the productive skills, speaking and writing. Both are equally important when it comes to teaching English. There are two main parts to focus on when teaching about speaking. The first one is focusing on accuracy, and the second one is focusing on fluency. When it comes to writing there are three main things to focus on; handwriting, spelling, and punctuation.
