Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is the first to really delve into the specifics of how to teach language. The activity on the task sheet to identify mistakes, describe why they happened, and explain how you would correct the student, was particularly helpful to me. It was the first time in this course that I really had any sort of practice with developing a strategy and viewing the material as information to teach, rather than just learn myself. This unit revolved around the particulars of how to introduce different types of language to students. Grammar, vocabulary, and language functions were the three types discussed. Multiple examples were given of suggested activities and lesson structures for each of the three. I took from this unit how important it is to gear the selection of vocabulary, grammar, or language function to the particular needs of your students.
