Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 5 discusses the components of class organization, the pros and cons of different types of organization, how to increase student talk time/decrease teacher talk time, how to recognize the sources of problem behavior, and how to deal with problem behavior. This Unit is particularly helpful for readers who have little or no experience in a management position by going over the basics of different approaches to group organization. In this unit, I really understood that every TEFL classroom will include course books (if provided and available) and supplemental materials either authentic or created by the instructor. This tells me that lesson planning is all the more important! It will be important to review the course book before the start of the class, to anticipate how I can create materials to supplement, replace, or adapt in different parts of the lesson.
