Hello English has several vacancies for English teachers for the new school term, beginning May, 2007.
Applicants must be native speakers (only British, American. Australian, New Zealand, Canadian or South African nationals considered).

Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required and experience teaching in Thailand would be a definite advantage. Wages are 30, 000 baht + + per month and work permits, health insurance etc. will be provided by Hello English. Approximately 24 contact hours per week (Mon- Fri). NO WEEKEND WORK and long holidays.

All teaching positions are for Matayom (High School) or vocational (College) students. Teachers will be placed in Thai schools and will have access to our vast library of teaching resources. Curriculums and fun and creative lesson plans are provided plus there is ample room for individual creativity and contributions. The students all have a strong work ethic and are a pleasure to teach.

Hatyai is the bustling commercial and transport hub of the South of Thailand. It's large enough to have all the comforts available in large cities but we still have clean air and no traffic jams.
There is a large expat (mostly teachers) community and ample nightlife. We are almost never affected by the problems further south and we have easy access to local beaches. The pleasant seaside town and beaches of Songkhla are less than 1 hour away by local bus and all the stunning tropical islands in the Andaman and the Gulf of Thailand are within easy striking distance for those long weekends.

Please apply to [email protected] with a brief CV, recent photograph. And telephone number if possible. Do not attach copies of degree at this stage please.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The unit has taken me back to early high school. The unit has again taught me the differences between nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs and particles to name a few. As a native English speaker, I simply do not think about the breakdown of a sentence when either spoken or written in English. A teacher of English needs to be able to break a sentence down and explain the differences of each word to the class.I have learned that it is often difficult to teach English grammar for native English speakers because we grow up not thinking about the nuances of the language. When growing up, we (as English speakers) are not taught the difference between a verb vs. an intransitive verb, or what a preposition is. However, when teaching English to almost anyone (besides very young kids) it is important to have a handle on grammar.
