Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
We have learned what a good teacher means to students. We also discussed the different roles that a teacher may take during the class. Some of these roles are moderator, facilitator, prompter, and manager. We also learned the age stages and their activities and behaviors, ranging from three yrs. old to adult. We also learned the Common European Framework of reference and discussed Beginners to Upper Intermediate Levels.I always really like the examples that these iTTT lessons provide, such as the lesson plans within this test that use the ESA framework. I enjoy applying these examples to my own classroom teaching. I also really liked the handouts provided in this lesson, especially concerning self-evaluation. Self-evaluation is critical for self-improvement, so actually writing down concrete ideas for change is a very beneficial idea.
