Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, I learned about receptive skills. These include listening and reading. The unit covered problems when developing these skills, recommendations for teaching receptive skills, and what receptive skills include. I learned about the importance of meeting students where they are and providing interesting, reasonably challenging material. Otherwise, students will not be enthusiastic and may become discouraged. The current Unit was abiut importance of lesson planning. The proper planning of lessons helps both students and teachers and has a number of important functions such as : - an aid to planning; - a working document; - a record. The Unit introduced the exact example of a lesson plan, so less experienced teachers could refer to it to make their classes structed and interesting. The Unit was quite practical and helpful.
