Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 9: Lesson Planning. In this unit, it was pretty straightforward, the importance of lesson planing that is. However, for me the quiz was very hard as I haven't been practising making different lesson plans with the ESA techniques. As i was answering these questions I had to think about the differences between each one and how it could make a difference between each phase e.g. The first part of activate vs the final part.In this unit I learned about how to plan a lesson for an ESL class. For each lesson it is important to have the topic of what is going to be taught and what kind of lesson it will be such as Patchwork or Straight Arrow. In each phase there also needs to be activities and conversation topics to guide the lesson. I also found it important to always self evaluate each lesson and have student feedback in order to keep improving.
