Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit focused more on how to utilize two of the four basic skills in learning a language: Reading and Listening. Up until this chapter, I had a simplistic and straightforward understanding of these receptive skills, especially listening. I thought it only accomplished one goal, and that was it. This chapter clearly showed that I must have a deeper understanding of these basic skills. The unit discussed the many different parts of speech that exist in the English language. It goes over how each part of speech behaves and how those behaviors are modified by the various other parts of speech. The most obvious thing I learned from this chapter is how to explain the function of parts of speech which before, were so second nature that I didn’t realize I couldn’t.
