Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this seventeenth unit, we learned about teaching equipment and tools. This was an interesting unit, because it went into detail about aspects of teaching that I have not thought extensively about. I have always felt like teaching without overhead projectors for example was fine, but this unit has made me think differently. OHP along with video cameras are good ways to engage students and enhance the lesson that you are teaching. This unit explains how to select course books and materials for teaching. It provides description of authentic materials and created materials as well as their applicability in certain situations. Also the unit provides good examples of materials which can be used for teaching. Advantages and disadvantages of course books are covered as well. The most valuable thing I’ve studied here is how to use course books and select them.
