Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.
This unit is about Classroom Management. It discusses rapport between teachers and students, as well as between the students. It depicts different classroom arrangements and identifies placements and their appropriate times. It also addresses the amount of teacher and student talking time, as well as disciplinary methods, including how to identify problems, preventing them, and responding appropriately.Unit 15 briefly covered the different assessment tests used by ESL teachers and the various well-known tests that teachers often prepare them for. I am surprised by how many acronyms there are out there for English assessment tests. I did appreciate however the inclusion of the diagnostic test with the different levels that got progressively harder. It is a helpful tool that I might reference in future.
