Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

THis unit discusses the advantages and disadvantages of different course materials. For example, course books can provide pre-made gap fills and exercises for the students to practice on so the teacher doesn't have to make everything from scratch. But course books can also be colorless and boring to students therefore it is beneficial for the teacher to either adapt or add additional materials to it.This unit established the differences between the types of learners based on age, motivation, and class size. It taught me techniques that could effective in small classes and one-on-one situations, and also business English classes. I will use the ideas presented here to create more precise lesson plans and tailor the class to who I'm teaching instead of using blanket techniques that cover everyone.
