With more than 35 years of experience, ALA is one of the most prestigious English language centers in the Spanish capital. ALA represents quality and expertise.

Our primary objective is to help students achieve the most complete and personalized development of their English language skills possible. From basic English courses for children and adults to business and exam preparation for professionals, ALA offers a wide range of programs to fit each student's needs. Classes are offered at seven levels of proficiency in English and are taught both in small groups (maximum seven students per group) and one-to-one. While most of the classes are held at our center, we also work with several high-profile companies in Madrid.

Part-time and full-time positions are available immediately as well as for the academic year 2004-2005.

* Native speaker
* University degree in a related field
* CELTA certificate or equivalent
* 1+ years' language teaching experience
* EU citizenship and/or Spanish work permit

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

 

This unit discussed the productive skills, writing and speaking. Fluency and accuracy are both equally important, but are usually focused on separately. Accuracy should be worked on in the Study phase, while fluency should be worked on more in the Activate phase. Creating a comfortable atmosphere by using relevant prompts, games, and other activities is crucial in encouraging students to interact and get creative with the language.Since I teach Grade One, this unit was amazing and very beneficial to me as it taught me a lot about 6-7 years old students. I liked the explanation of theories at the beginning of the unit. The application of ESA on different groups of students age was very helpful. Moreover, learning about different positioning of a class as well as how the position of teacher was really good. The detailed information about skill was very useful.
