Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The structure of an English lesson is very different than the lecture style classes I have experience with. I fear that I may have difficulty ensuring that I am not too eager to jump in and immediately correct a student, or to be overbearing and intimidating. I will have to take this lesson style to heart and remember that what I am likely having similar difficulties coming to terms with the language of the nation that I find myself in.Productive skills are speaking and witting; these are skills students can produce. To speak and write students have to have a purpose, a desire to say something, a desire to listen. Teacher must create a specific environment to ensure all students are involved and motivated. For each lesson stage teacher should use different types of activities: drilling, prompting, dialogues, role-plays, discussion, debates, simulations and so on.
