Imperial College of New Zealand is a rapidly growing Private Training Organisation located in Central Auckland. We are focused on student success, on striving for excellence and on being recognised as a quality provider in the NZ tertiary sector.
Imperial College of New Zealand is currently looking for TEFL qualified teachers with lots of enthusiasm, and experience teaching ESOL and IELTS. We have both temporary and upcoming positions in 2012 for our General English, English Plus and IELTS programmes. Remuneration is based on qualifications and experience.

Due to the large volume of respondents, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview.

Please send resume and cover letter to the e-mail address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit provides basic tips and ideas for classroom management. I have a degree and certificate in Music Education, so I am already trained in this area, however this information was a good refresher. I find the physical environment of a classroom or meeting place to be of immense importance. Whereas this is often ignored in teacher training, I am glad that this was addressed helpfully in this unit. This unit reviewed strategies for managing and organizing a class and presented different factors to consider in deciding how to manage a class. I found it helpful to be reminded of the pros and cons of different seating arrangements and activities, and I also learned some tips for how to establish rapport between myself and the students and how to facilitate better relationships between the students.
