Materials for teaching can be authentic material and created material. Authentic materials (programs, magazines, newspapers, songs, poems, brochures, menus, films on video) are not graded to the level of the students. They are real and more interesting and motivating. Created materials (crosswords, word search puzzles, role-play cards, flashcards, gap-fill activities, picture stories) are graded for level. It is important to engage students first before other activities. Self correction is better that teacher-student correction so allow the students to correct themselves. Let them realize their own mistakes and give them a chance to correct it. Giving praise is also important in boosting morale of students. Let the students use freely at the activate stage the things they have learned during the study stage.
