Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit I've learnt about pronunciation and phonology!now I know that pronunciation is probably the most neglected aspect of English language teaching. And the Phonology is the study, science, analysis and classification of the physical properties of sound. The terms phonetics and phonology are often used interchangeably although the term phonology is increasingly used to indicate the whole sound system of a particular language. This unit tends to explore the theories, methods and techniques that produce the best results in teaching. In a nutshell, the nature aspect of the ongoing debate tends to examine the intelligence of the children/students on a natural process based on genetic traits, while the proponents of the nurture theory believes it's through the environments created by the teachers during teaching that creates the intelligence of the students.
