Culturlingua Tlaquepaque is a small and friendly school based in Tlaquepaque, offering small language classes to students of all ages and levels. We care that each and every one of our students not only successfully learns English but also enjoys the experience. If you are a TEFL certified teacher interested in a full-time position starting early January 2013 and finishing late May, with the possibility of extending for an additional semester, then please send your resume and a cover letter to Julio Rodriguez at the e-mail address given on the job heading.

The wage varies according to the value of the Mexican peso, but it is adequate to live in Tlaquepaque. Teachers are responsible for their food and drinking water, but do not need to pay for rent, electricity, gas and general water. This is not a ‘get rich’ job, but it does offer a unique opportunity to visit and experience the rich culture of Mexico, and enjoy teaching in a small, friendly language school.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

 

Unit 1 covered the purpose behind this CTBE Course and what the learning aims and objectives are. It went into detail about what to expect when teaching a specific group of learners in a company setting or in-house. It looked at the target client and what to expect in regards to pay and working hours. I didn't find it an overly helpful unit, but the aims were helpful to see what I will be learning.The unit presented a variety of different methodologies of teaching that have, at some point in time, been popular. It holds that ESA is a methodology deemed most effective, and most importantly, I've learned that an ESA structured lesson needs only begin with Engaging students and end with Activating the new concepts, and that lessons do not necessarily have to have a \"straight arrow\" approach.
