Discovery Teacher is a programme we set up to give teachers who recently got their qualifications as English teachers and wish to gain international practical teaching experience within a supported environment.
Job Summary
Mondays - Fridays - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm.
- PreK- elementary- middle- high school
- Group classes and individual lessons
- Preparation for Cambridge certifications
- End of the year presentation or performance for parents
Qualifications
Must hold an English teacher certificate (TEFL, TKT, TESOL, etc.)
Bachelor's degree preferred, but NOT required.
-Have a vocational approach to the teaching profession, develop rapport and create an enjoyable dynamic learning environment
- Be able to work independently, willing to receive guidance and develop as a teacher.
- Avoid sarcasm or any other type of disrespectful behavior at all times.
- Be collaborative and willing to work as a team
- Be flexible, adaptable and respond positively to changing schedules, new courses and new students.
- As a plus, have Cambridge certification preparation experience and be results driven.
- Development of lesson plans for the given subjects, meeting with the assigned administrative paperwork in a timely manner specific to the position.
- Give feedback to parents and students.
- Enjoy teaching young learners with patience and professionalism.
- Ability and willingness to work with different age ranges going from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Salary and Benefits
Accommodation, bills, Spanish lessons, training, $2,500 pesos per week for food and local travel.
