Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Using a course book can be very useful in the classroom, but teachers must know what is appropriate and not, and what they should include, replace or adapt in the course book use they think is relevant and beneficial for the students. A teacher should include authentic and created materials in class, to supplement the course book, and for many students, the class will become more in interesting and relevant. This unit looks at the four present tense aspects of the English language. The present simple. The present continuous, also known as the present progressive. The present perfect, and the present perfect continuous. In each tense, we've learned about its form, usage, and typical errors students make with them. We were also given recommended teaching ideas that can be used in the Activate stage of the lesson.
