Key Language Services (KLS) is a British-run language school which has been operating in Quito since 1994. It is currently run by three partners who are ex-British Council teachers.

KLS is a respected name in the local business community having built up a solid reputation and client base over the last 14 years. Our nomination as the authorised University of Cambridge exam centre for the Ecuadorian highlands in September 2001 means that we now administer all the Cambridge ESOL exams in schools, universities and companies. We also hold monthly IELTS exam sessions in conjunction with the British Council in Bogotá ¡nd administer exams for various British universities. There is therefore plenty of opportunity for our teachers to learn and develop their skills in a supportive working environment.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Teaching special group English is an very interesting lesson because it gives us different ways on how to teach different age groups as well its purpose. We can clearly see that different methods work for different age group as well as different English level. It so important that we are aware of group ability and knowledge and engage them in most easiest way so that they don't feel overwhelmed with teaching methods. This unit is focused on the course books and materials. The teacher has to base his curriculum around the provided books, but he/she has to create own teaching materials and the materials to supplement the coursebooks. I believe that using exclusively coursebooks is a bad idea because the teacher should always adapt the teaching material to the needs and level of the students or specific teaching goals of the lesson.
