Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Future tenses can be a bit confusing sometimes because the present continuous and going to future can be mixed up in usage. I think it's important to encourage the students to practice and do a lot of exercises to get comfortable using these tenses in the correct way. I didn't know the clear terms of all the tenses until I studied this unit. Thanks to TEFL courses, it's very helpful to ESL teachers. It's good to be aware of the different types of tests. I haven't given it much thought, but it does make sense. As far as the external tests, I am in the camp that tests don't measure everything, but it is true that you can't get away with not taking any tests. So it's useful for me to have an understanding if the external tests that my students will be studying for, so I know how best to help them.
