Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit 14 covered the use of course books and lesson materials. It went over the advantages and disadvantages of created materials and course books as well as tips on how to blend both together to get a better learning experience out to the students. After reading over this unit a few times and watching the video I learned what assets I have and how to use them with variety so that the class doesn't get bored. In unit five, we talked about the various activities that teachers can use to engage, teach, and help students practice their English. A teacher can use games, songs, drama, writing, drawing, and other activities to make students super engaged and also learning the language. The most important thing is recognizing that you have to adapt games and activities to the specific material, not the other way around.
