Date posted:2006-10-19 | Writer: Inlingua Naples | Email: [email protected]

Inlingua Naples is looking for experienced and qualified English teachers to start in October/November 2006. Only mothertongue university graduates with European passports should apply.

School: With 315 schools in 32 countries, 55 of which are in Italy, inlingua is one of the largest language training groups in the world and over 300, 000 people do courses with us every year. Our school is based in Naples, in southern Italy. Not only is Naples one of the most vibrant and historically rich cities in Italy, but it is also within easy reach of the famous sights of Pompei, Capri, Ischia, and the Amalfi Coast.

Courses: The syllabus is varied and teachers will have a range of classes including different levels and programmes. We have our own inlingua books which follow the basic grammar and cover one of three programmes – General English, Business English or Young Learners - but around these core books it is frequently necessary to adapt the programme (with the help and guidance of the DOS) to the students' specific needs.

Staff: At inlingua Naples we pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and the standard of our services. In addition to management and our Director of Studies, inlingua Naples has a teaching staff of 25. All teachers are given training upon arrival and, as well as day to day support from the DOS, they have access to a wide variety of teaching resources and the internet.

Contract: The contract offered to experienced teachers is a free-lance 9 month teaching contract with a basic starting salary of €12.50 per hour. Teachers are guaranteed a minimum of 80 hours per month. On average they will work 100 hours per month. In busy months you will work up to 140 hours. Help is offered with finding accommodation and a contribution is made towards flights.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This was a great course to end all the units on. It helped me forsee any potential problems that I may experience teaching students. Learning about first lessons and building rapport is helpful critical when first teaching. Not only getting to know the students but letting the students get to know one another was insightful and can help when creating pairs for group work or if one student is stronger than another. This unit provides two videos that show effective and ineffective teaching. First video shows how teacher's attitude, manner and teaching stile disrupts the students.Second video shows how teacher's positive and engaging attitude and teaching techniques create pleasant,.relaxed atmosphere and affect the students' understanding.I have found both videos priceless. They help me to avoid mistakes and be effective teacher.
