Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

From this unit which focuses on vocabulary, grammar and functions; in delivering new lessons to students we can always introduce new language using the previously learnt ESA method and can also follow the various forms either the straight arrow ESA or patchwork ESA or the boomerang ESA structure depending on which structure is most appropriate in relation to the class and the language about to be introduced. This unit helped me a lot in a way that gives me a clearer understanding on how to produce the correct sound of a word, where the air passes and which place and manner of articulation is needed. I am teaching Clear Speech at the moment, and the book we use has mouth diagrams that help us show our students the positioning of the tongue, lips, and if the sound stops or if the sound passes in between the teeth.
