Starting February, 10th 2005 Centro de Cultura Americana Ltda. $B!&(BSpeaking ( Contact us ) is a language school located in Itajub$B!&(B Minas Gerais state in Brazil. ( Contact us ) The school teaches English, Spanish, French, German and Chinese. Right now there are 9 foreign and 8 Brazilian teachers working with 300+ students. The student$BCT(B age range from 12 to 40. (most of them are university students) The position available is to teach 36 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Most classes are in the evening, from 6pm to 10:30pm. Each class lasts one hour and has an average of 8 students. The wage is R$12, 00 (twelve Reais) per hour for teaching group class. (US$ 1 = R$ 2.89) The teacher will be paid by the end of every month. A furnished studio (plus utilities) will be provided for the time of the contract. The school is looking for an young professional, with ESL (or similar) certificate who is willing to work hard (one year contract). Experience is not necessary. This unit is quite difficult in part of Phrasal Verbs. I always have many problems with their using and sometimes even understanding. I think this Grammar material is the most hard for many foreigners to study because of great range of their meanings and particular using. As for me I believe that the phrasal verbs are very hard to teach as well. After studying this Unit I rewise Grammar once again and it seems to be of big use.The unit is about classroom management-It is a skill of organizing and managing a class and having friendly and relaxed manner and maintaining discipline.I have learnt that as a teacher i need to use simple language, use visual clues, etc in giving instructions. I have also learnt that as a teacher in order to maintain discipline in the class depends on factors such as age of students, respect between teacher and students, etc.
