Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is focused on the production of language and why it is necessary. Why do we need language? How do we use it productively, as opposed to receptively? It is important to recognise that writing and speaking form the backbone of communication. They reveal interest, and need, in how we communicate with other people. I particularly liked the range of games offered to me in this unit, that I can then use in the classroom. This unit covered modal verbs, passive voice, and phrasal verbs. Modal verbs are used to express: obligation, possibility, permission, ability, or advice. Passive voice is used when we don't know or care about who is doing the action. Phrasal verbs have three types: intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable. This lesson felt to be at the advanced level because it taught language usage and not vocabulary.
