Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit taught me about modal verbs, phrasal verbs and the passive voice. I learned how to slowly introduce phrasal verbs into a lesson on transitive and intransitive verbs. It was also helpful to have a chart on the rules for how to change active speech into passive speech depending on the tense. I definitely plan to study all these subjects in more detail using the suggested readings. The material in Unit 18 covers the use of Modals, Phrasal verbs, and Passive voice. The material provides a valuable chart that details the usage of the Auxiliary modals in all tenses. Passive voice is addressed and differences explained. This information is also important when teaching the grammar phase to new students when they have a better understanding of basic grammar structure.
