Knowing the different theories, teaching techniques and the ESA stages can help teachers become more resourceful. However, good teaching is only possible when teachers can have good understanding of the learners, knowing their needs and can make good decisions based on learners levels and needs. Language knowledge, teaching & learning theories are all building blocks for good teachersClassroom Management is an important part of teaching and if established correctly, it helps both you & your students feel comfortable within the classroom environment. - gaining respect for each other, building rapport etc. Thus, the teacher needs to know his/her individual students and arrange the classroom in an appropriate way in order for a lesson and/or activity to go smoothly.
