This unit gave me an opportunity to see how a lesson plan can be formatted in order to help students achieve successful receptive skills. It was very evident how the teacher must use a challenge that is appropriate to the students language level, use material and create tasks that are realistically achievable by students. The lesson plans and practice is helpful and interesting.In this unit, I learn about vocabulary, grammar, functions and how to teach these to the students effectively. While grammar is the foundation for understanding the English language, the vocabulary and the functions add variety to the speech. The students need to exposed to the vocabulary, understand it's meaning, know how it can be used in a sentence and then practice it's use.
